Our Story
Gina, Sandra and Johanna met in early 2021 after completing the Positive Intelligence® program which prompted them to explore how the Positive Intelligence® framework intersected with their racial and ethnic identities. Gina shared a couple of resources she thought would benefit their exploration and support their weekly discussions.
These resources sparked a year-long journey of racial healing that unveiled layers of their racial and ethnic experiences that influenced how they showed up in the world. They began to acknowledge experiences they had blindly accepted as a means to "belong" but instead left them conforming and compromising their authentic selves. Utilizing the Positive Intelligence® framework, they discovered its unique power in actively healing unspoken experiences and beliefs, which led to a profound self-awareness that shifted how they show up in the world today. These discoveries began to change them as racially and ethnically diverse women and as leaders in their personal and professional spaces. Their collective transformation made them realize that many other women should have access to such learning and process. This inspired them to develop the Creating Cultures of Belonging program, a safe and sacred space where other racially and ethnically diverse women can learn to examine how their own identities impact them as leaders. |
The development of the program brought together like-minded women who were equally seeking new ways of offering leadership development to women. As a result, they created a program that was transformational, not transactional. Today, they are dedicated to encouraging, supporting, and developing ethnically and racially diverse women leaders globally. The three of them birthed The Sage Women Group which is focused on elevating women leaders to lead authentically, skillfully and intentionally. |
